EUCF TOURNAMENT
SeedingThe EUCFs is a three-day
tournament, held no later than the third week in October. An open
bidding process for the tournament will be held annually and will be
awarded to the best bid. Excellent fields and good weather will be
taken into consideration when the bid is being awarded.
The Open EUCFs is a 16-team tournament. The Women’s EUCFs is a 12-team tournament until the CSC determines the division is sufficiently competitive to expand into a 16-team tournament. 2007 EUCF Seeding is based on the following criteria:
Open:
The winner of the NE 2007 EUCR will the EUCF’s number 1 seed. The
winner of the W EUCR will be the EUCF’s number 2 seed and so forth.
Women: The winner of the W 2007 EUCR will be the EUCF’s number 1 seed. The 2nd place finisher in the W EUCR will be the EUCF’s number 2 seed and so forth. Pool Draw The tournament will be drawn after all the EUCRs have been completed. They will be drawn by an impartial CSC representative with an observer present. The CSC reserves the right to adjust pools to avoid regional match-ups during initial pool play. Pools will be drawn according to the following formula below: Open:
Open: 4 pools of 4 teams. Pool play. Cross overs 2v3 and 4v4. Pool winners are rewarded with a bye. Upper pool plays quarters, semis, finals, lower pool plays round robin and placement game for final positioning.
Women: 4 pools of three teams. Pool play. Cross overs 1v1, 2v3. Teams 1-8 play quarters, semis, finals. Teams 9-12 play round robin for final placement.
