EUCF TOURNAMENT
SeedingThe EUCF 2008 will be held in Paris from Oct. 31st to Nov. 2nd and will be organized by the Ah Ouh Puc team.
The Open EUCFs is a 16-team tournament played on 3 days. The Women’s EUCFs is a 8-team tournament played on 2 days (Sat.+Sun.) until the CSC determines the division is sufficiently competitive to expand into a larger tournament. 2008 EUCF Seeding is based on the following criteria:
Open: The winner of
the EUCR-W 2008 will the EUCF’s number 1 seed. The winner of
the EUCR-NE 2008 will be the EUCF’s number 2 seed and so
forth (see results of EUCF2007 for details).
Women: The winner of the EUCR-CE 2008 will be the EUCF’s number 1 seed. The winner of the EUCR-W 2008 will be the EUCF’s number 2 seed and so forth (see results of EUCF2007 for details). Pool Draw The tournament will be drawn after all the EUCRs have been completed. They will be drawn by an impartial CSC representative with an observer present. The CSC reserves the right to adjust pools to avoid regional match-ups during initial pool play. Pools will be drawn according to the following formula below: Open:
Open: 4 pools of 4 teams. Pool play. Cross overs 2v3 and 4v4. Pool winners are rewarded with a bye. Upper pool plays quarters, semis, finals, lower pool plays round robin and placement game for final positioning.
Women: 2 pools of four teams. Pool play. Semis, finals.
